Three photos taken in Free State Province, South Africa, 2023. They are a love letter and a poem and a feeling, all confined to the format of a Kodak disposable bought on impulse in Oxford. I lost my iPhone on the return journey to England and with it hundreds of photographs from my trip. However, the Kodak survived the journey and consoled me with its gentle charm.
A warm hand over the lens. Clouds torn in two with flame. A tentative journey.
I was not the same again.
